FFRUST Server Rules

Server Rules

1. Respectful Conduct

We strive to maintain a positive and inclusive community. All players are expected to treat each other and the server staff with respect at all times. Failure to adhere to these standards may result in warnings, temporary bans, or permanent bans depending on the severity and frequency of the offense.

  • No Racism, Discrimination, or Hate Speech: Any language or behavior targeting individuals or groups based on race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, disability, or any other protected characteristic is strictly forbidden in all forms of communication (in-game chat, voice chat, signs, etc.).
  • No Excessive Spamming or Flooding: Avoid repeatedly posting messages or content in chat or voice that disrupts communication for others. This includes excessive use of caps lock, repeated phrases, or irrelevant content.
  • No Harassment or Trolling: Do not engage in persistent unwanted contact, intimidation, bullying, or intentionally disruptive behavior towards other players. This includes following players persistently, repeatedly killing the same player without clear progression, or making excessive negative comments.
  • Keep Chat Relevant (Mostly): While casual chat is fine, avoid excessive off-topic discussions that dominate channels intended for gameplay or support. Use private messages or external platforms for prolonged personal conversations.
  • Appropriate Language and Content: Avoid overly offensive, vulgar, or sexually explicit language and content in all in-game communication and creations (signs, base designs, etc.).

2. No Cheating or Exploiting

Fair gameplay is paramount. The use of any unauthorized software, hardware, or game exploits to gain an unfair advantage is strictly prohibited. We have a zero-tolerance policy for cheating.

  • No Hacking or Third-Party Software: This includes, but is not limited to, aimbots, ESP (seeing players/items through walls), speed hacks, scripting (automating actions), using external programs to modify game files, or any other program that interacts with the game client to provide an unfair edge.
  • No Exploiting Bugs or Glitches: Intentionally using game bugs or glitches for personal gain (e.g., duplicating items, getting into unintended areas, bypassing building restrictions) or to disrupt gameplay is not allowed. If you find an exploit, please report it to staff privately and do not abuse it.
  • No Macro Usage for Unfair Advantage: Using macros to automate actions in a way that provides a significant unfair advantage over players not using them is prohibited. Simple macros for repetitive tasks (like crafting) may be tolerated, but complex combat macros are not.
  • No Stream Sniping: Using a streamer's live broadcast to gain an unfair advantage in-game (e.g., finding their location, knowing their inventory, predicting their movements) is considered cheating and is not allowed.

3. Griefing Policy

Griefing, defined as actions intended solely to annoy, harass, or disrupt other players' gameplay without a legitimate Rust objective (like raiding or territorial control), is restricted. While Rust is a harsh game, excessive griefing detracts from the experience for others.

  • Excessive Base Destruction After Raid: While raiding involves destruction to gain access, intentionally destroying a base far beyond what is necessary to gain access to loot after the raid is complete may be considered excessive griefing. This includes leveling an entire base unnecessarily.
  • Blocking Key Areas: Building in a way that intentionally blocks access to monuments, roads, safe zones, resource nodes, or other crucial game areas without actively using or occupying the built area is not permitted.
  • Spawn Camping / Excessive Targeting: While PvP is a core part of Rust, repeatedly targeting and killing the same new players in spawn areas without allowing them a chance to progress may be considered griefing. This is especially true if done purely for harassment.
  • Intentional FPS Dropping Bases: Building excessively complex or large structures designed solely to cause significant performance issues (lag) for other players in the area is prohibited.
  • Walling Off Loot: Intentionally walling off or blocking access to valuable loot spawns (like airdrops or event loot) without actively engaging with the event or loot for a reasonable amount of time may be considered griefing.

4. Team Limits

To ensure balanced gameplay and prevent large groups from dominating, we enforce a strict team limit. This limit applies to all activities and associations within the game.

  • Maximum Team Size: The maximum number of players allowed to be allied, living together, building together, roaming together, raiding together, or defending together is 5 players.
  • No Alliances Exceeding Limit: Players in one team are not permitted to form explicit alliances or work closely with other teams if the combined number of active players exceeds the team limit. This includes coordinating raids, defenses, or large-scale roaming with another group that puts you over the limit.
  • Bag/Bed Limits: Do not intentionally place sleeping bags or beds for players outside of your permitted team size within or immediately around your base. This is considered circumventing the team limit.
  • Sharing Resources/Bases: Sharing primary bases, resources, or high-tier loot regularly with players outside of your team is considered breaking the team limit rule.

5. Account Responsibility

You are responsible for the activity on your Rust account while playing on FFRUST.

  • Account Security: Keep your account secure. If your account is compromised and used to break rules, you may still be held responsible.
  • No Account Sharing: Sharing your Rust account with other individuals is not permitted and can lead to issues regarding rule enforcement and account security.

6. Admin Decisions Are Final

Our administrative team is here to enforce the rules and ensure a fair and enjoyable environment for everyone. Admin decisions are made based on evidence and careful consideration.

  • Respect Staff Decisions: Please respect the decisions made by server staff. Arguing with, disrespecting, or harassing staff members in-game, on Discord, or on other platforms will not be tolerated and may result in further action.
  • Reporting Issues: If you have an issue or wish to report a rule breaker, please do so through the designated channels on our Discord server. Provide clear and unedited evidence (screenshots, video clips with timestamps) whenever possible to assist in the investigation. Do not spam reports or falsely report players.
  • Ban Appeals: If you believe you have been unfairly banned or punished, you may submit an appeal through our Discord server. Follow the instructions provided in the ban message or on Discord to submit your case for review by the administration team. Be honest and provide any relevant information or evidence.
  • No Impersonation of Staff: Do not claim to be a member of the FFRUST staff team if you are not.

These rules are subject to interpretation by the server administration and may be updated as needed. Significant rule changes will be announced. Ignorance of the rules is not an excuse. By playing on FFRUST, you agree to abide by these rules.
